2. Who uses Wakupi?
Wakupi is a service for families. An adult creates and manages the account.
Adults may enter information about children to personalize adventures and suggest age-appropriate activities. They may enter a child’s first name or a nickname. Children do not create or manage their own Wakupi accounts.
3. What information do we collect?
Depending on how you use Wakupi, we may process:
- Adult account information, such as an email address and information needed to sign in and manage the account.
- Information about children, such as a first name or nickname and, if this feature is introduced, a birth date to suggest activities for the child’s age.
- Adventure information, such as preferences, age, number of participants, location, available materials, answers, and other details entered to create an activity.
- Subscription and payment information, such as the selected plan and subscription status.
- Technical and security information needed to operate the service, protect accounts, and prevent misuse.
Birth dates will only be collected if and when this feature becomes available and an adult chooses to provide them.
4. Photos and device storage
Photos added by a user, such as keepsake photos or photos of an activity, remain on the user’s computer, tablet, or phone. Wakupi does not store these photos on its servers.
When a user creates and downloads a PDF, photos that are still available on the device may be included in the document. If a photo is deleted from the device or is no longer available to Wakupi, it cannot be included in a new PDF. To keep a keepsake with its photos, download the PDF while the photos are still available on the device.
5. How do we use information?
We use information as needed to:
- create and manage adult accounts;
- provide and personalize adventures;
- suggest activities based on children’s ages if that feature becomes available;
- create requested documents, including PDFs;
- manage subscriptions and payments;
- secure the service and address technical issues;
- respond to support requests; and
- meet legal obligations.
Depending on the purpose, we process information to provide the service you request, meet a legal obligation, pursue our legitimate interests, or with your consent where required.
6. Service providers
Wakupi uses service providers to host and protect the service, process payments, and measure how the service is used. Payments are processed by Stripe. Depending on the site’s configuration, audience measurement or advertising tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel may also be used.
These providers process information needed to provide their services under their own privacy policies. Where required by law, tools that need your consent are only activated after you give it.
7. International data transfers
Some providers may process information outside France or the European Economic Area, depending on how their services are configured. Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used for these transfers.
8. How long do we keep information?
We keep information for as long as needed to manage accounts, provide requested features, and meet legal obligations.
Billing records may be kept for periods required by tax and accounting laws. Technical security information is kept for an appropriate period to protect the service and prevent misuse.
9. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to limit or object to certain processing. You may also have the right to receive a copy of certain information.

If you are in the European Union, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. In France, this is the CNIL.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
Wakupi and its providers may use cookies or similar technologies to operate and secure the service, measure its audience, or assess advertising campaigns.
Where required by law, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are activated only after you give consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using.

11. Security
Wakupi uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect information from loss, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
Users should also protect their sign-in details and avoid entering information that is not needed to use the service.

We may update this policy when Wakupi’s features, providers, or applicable requirements change. The latest update date will appear at the top of this page.
